On December 15, Google invited Chrome users to join together to help drive a charitable gift by “donating” the tabs they opened over the following 5 days. Using the Chrome for a Cause extension, users could choose which of five charities their tabs would support: planting trees, supplying clean water, donating books, building shelter, or providing vaccinations.
